Data Protection/Row filters

They get their region, their customers, their dates.

Write a rule for the rows each partner should receive. Every delivery follows it, so nobody gets more than they were licensed for.

How row filters work.

A row filter is a rule that decides which records a partner receives, such as one region, one customer group or one date range. You write it once and every delivery is cut to match, so a partner never receives rows outside their agreement.

Write the rule once

Pick a column and a condition, such as region is Europe, or date is in the last twelve months.

Every delivery follows it

The next delivery, and the one after, is cut to the rule. Nobody cuts a file by hand.

A different rule for each partner

One partner gets Europe, another gets Asia, a third gets everything from last quarter.

Change it when the deal changes

Edit the rule and the next delivery follows the new one.

Who uses it.

  • Companies licensing a dataset for one purpose

Each licensee receives only the part their licence covers.

  • Brands working with regional partners

A local partner receives their market and nothing else.

  • Manufacturers sharing specs with a maker

The maker receives the parts of the catalogue they build.

Row filters questions

Can I use more than one condition?
Yes. Combine conditions, for example one region and one date range, in the same rule.
Does a new rule change what a partner already has?
No. A new rule applies from the next delivery. What a partner already received stays as it was.
Can each partner have a different rule?
Yes. Every view has its own rule.
