NakodaX

Use cases/Sharing part of a file

Share only the part of a file someone needs.

Slides from a deck, rows from a spreadsheet, passages of a PDF, columns of a data feed. The recipient gets a file with the rest removed.

Works withDocumentsData

A finance manager sorts printed pages into sealed envelopes, each with a small green light, while a colleague points at another page.

In short

A file shared whole sends everything in it. With NakodaX you choose the slides, rows, columns, passages or image areas to share, and the recipient gets a file with the rest removed. Sensitive data columns can be sealed instead. NakodaX checks the result before it goes out.

Who it's for

Sharing part of a file questions

Is the rest of the file hidden or removed?
Removed. The recipient gets a real file of the same type, and what you left out is not in it. NakodaX checks the result before it goes out and refuses the share if the check fails.
Which files can I send part of?
Slides in a deck, sections of a Word file, and the sheets, columns and rows of a spreadsheet. PDFs and images can be shared by area, and redaction covers PDF, PNG, JPEG and WebP. Data files in CSV, NDJSON, JSON and Parquet can be cut by column, and sensitive columns can be sealed.
Can I send a different part to each person?
Yes. For documents, save a selection for each group of recipients and reuse it. One send can reach up to 10 people. For data, write a policy for each audience, such as a plan or a partner, and each gets its own file.
Can a reader take a screenshot?
Yes. Nothing can stop someone photographing their own screen. Documents can carry a watermark with the reader's name and the time they viewed it, so a screenshot shows whose copy it was, and analytics show who opened it and when.
