How do you deliver final digital work before an invoice is paid?

A designer has completed the brand assets. An editor has exported the final film. A consultant has delivered the finished model. A photographer has selected and processed the final images. The client needs the work to launch or finish its own deadline.

The invoice may be due at the same moment. The moment the ordinary final files arrive, the client can use them without any further action from the creator. The leverage that made payment simple has disappeared.
