How do you share photography proofs without making them a permanent gallery?

A proof gallery lets a client choose photographs, but an ordinary link also creates a permanent archive of every unselected image. Share protected proofs with a review window, then deliver the final licensed set under separate access terms once approval is complete.

A proof is an invitation to choose

A photographer needs to show a client enough work to make a confident selection. A wedding client shares choices with family. A brand team shares a campaign shoot with colleagues. A real-estate client compares the best images before choosing the final set.

The proof gallery exists for review. It is not automatically the same as the final licensed delivery, and the client may not need every image after the approval is complete.

Every proof quietly becomes a deliverable

An ordinary gallery link tends to outlive the selection process. The client saves it, shares it onward, or returns to it months later. Unselected images and high-resolution files sit alongside the approved work, even where they were never part of the agreed delivery.

The photographer now has one difficult choice: make review inconvenient, or accept that the proof gallery is an unrestricted archive. Neither is good for the relationship.

Separate review from the final license

NakodaX makes it possible to set a review period for the protected proof gallery. The client has a practical window to view, shortlist, and approve the work. The photographer keeps the final delivery separate.

The approved photographs can then be shared under their own terms: the right recipients, the right duration, and the right delivery conditions. The proof process does not decide the license by accident.

A better finish to the project

Once the client approves the selection, the proof gallery can close and the final set can open. That gives the photographer a clean handover and gives the client a clear place to return to for the work they actually commissioned.

The same model applies to videographers, illustrators, creative agencies, and any business that must show a broad working set before a final selection is licensed or delivered.

What changes

The photographer sets a review period for the proof gallery and keeps the final delivery separate. The client can select and approve the work without every proof becoming an unrestricted file library.

When approval is complete, the proof access can end. The finished, licensed images can have their own delivery terms, recipients, and end date.

How can photographers share proof galleries with an expiry date?
Share the proof gallery as protected photos with a defined review window. The client can view and select the work during that period, while the photographer can end future access once approval is complete.
Should photography proofs and final delivery use different access?
Yes. Proofs exist for selection, while final photographs have a specific license and delivery agreement. Separate protected shares let the photographer set different recipients and timing for each stage.
Can a creative agency use this for client review?
Yes. Agencies can use controlled review access for campaign images, concepts, edits, and working files, then create a separate final delivery when the client approves the licensed work.
