NakodaX Document Protection is enterprise grade protection without the enterprise price. It starts at $4.99 a month, with a free plan. We can price it this way because NakodaX is bootstrapped, has no sales team to pay for, and runs all three products on one architecture, so a new product adds little to our costs.

Security should not be a luxury. Same seriousness about security, a different approach to cost.
Security should not be a luxury. Yet most tools that protect shared files are built and priced for large companies, so smaller businesses go without and send contracts and customer files as plain attachments.
We believe protection for the files that matter should reach businesses of every size. NakodaX Document Protection is enterprise grade protection without the enterprise price: the same seriousness about security, with a different approach to cost. Here is what it costs, and why it can cost this little.
Document Protection has a free plan, without data rooms or NDAs. Paid plans are billed monthly, the prices include tax, and Enterprise is quoted. Protections, storage and rooms are counted per user.
Every plan protects a file the same way: it is encrypted in your browser with AES 256 before upload, you can send only the part a person needs, and you can end access later. Higher plans add volume, rooms and options such as NDAs and your own branding. See every plan on the pricing page.
| Plan | Price a month | Protections a month | Storage | Data rooms | NDA | Your branding |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 3 | 500 MB | None | No | No |
| Essential | $4.99 | 25 | 2 GB | 1 | Yes | No |
| Pro | $19.99 | 100 | 10 GB | 3 | Yes | Yes |
| Enterprise | Quoted | Unlimited | 10 GB | Unlimited | Yes | Yes |
NakodaX is bootstrapped. There are no investors waiting for a quick return, so we set the price for the businesses we want to serve, not for a funding round.
There is no sales team. You sign up, choose a plan and protect your next file. There is no sales call to sit through and no commission built into the price. If you have a question before you buy, write to support@nakodax.com.
One architecture runs all three products. We did not build a separate system for documents, data and source code. They share one design, so each new product adds little to what NakodaX costs to run, and that saving goes into your price.
Buying is simple. There is no minimum number of seats and no yearly contract, and the prices include tax.
None of this is a launch offer, and it is not a cut down product.
No. Many tools encrypt your file on their own servers. NakodaX encrypts it in your browser before upload and decrypts it in the reader's browser when they open it, so our servers only ever hold a locked file.
That protection is the same on every plan, along with revoke, expiry dates, open limits, a watermark with the reader's name and the time, and redaction you approve mark by mark. Higher plans add more files, more storage, data rooms and an NDA before opening.
Same seriousness about security at every price. Read how NakodaX keeps your files safe.
To see how this compares with other tools, read how NakodaX compares with Papermark, DocSend and Digify.
Every business shares files with people outside it. A quote, a contract, a customer list, a design. Each one leaves your control the moment it is sent, and the people most likely to skip protection are the ones who find the tools too expensive.
When protection costs little, nobody has to decide which documents deserve it. It becomes part of sending a file, like attaching it. That is the idea behind the price: protection that is used every day is worth more than protection kept for a few important files.
Founders sending a deck to investors, agencies sharing creative with clients, firms sending records to outside advisers and suppliers sharing quotes. See startups and investors and due diligence and deals.
Larger teams are covered too. Enterprise is quoted, and NakodaX can be installed on your own servers, even offline.
A low price does not mean unlimited use. Free, Essential and Pro each have a number of protections a month, a storage limit and a room limit. Plans and prices can change, so check the plan you choose.
The limits of protection are the same on every plan. No tool can stop a photo of a screen, and nothing can take back what someone has already read. We never read your documents.
Enterprise grade protection, without the enterprise price, for every file you share.
